Ihei Arimasa Miyasaka, the 12th head of the Miyasaka family, started the brewery which has continued for over 300 years. Their sake, known as “Masumi,” has earned a strong reputation for its rich taste, aroma, and body, due in part to the special, high-quality yeast developed by the company.

In 1916, the company expanded its expertise to include the production of Miso, under the Miko-chan trademark, leveraging their experience in creating Masumi. Then, in 1968, Miyasaka adopted the latest technology concepts to develop freeze-dried products, adding a popular range of new items to its offerings by taking a variety of different perspectives into consideration.

The company's goal is to introduce traditional and healthy Japanese food to the world in the most casual and convenient way possible. They offer 12 authentic Japanese miso soup packets per package, each containing fresh miso paste and baby clams. The miso paste has less sodium and also contains 30mg of Ornithine per serving.
